To become a Dementia Friend, join us during this free one-hour Dementia Friends Information Session at Silver Spring Personal Care Home on Tuesday, June 27th at 6pm.
What Happens at the Dementia Friends Information Session?
This session is a discussion led by a Dementia Friends Champion, a volunteer who goes through a training that prepares them to encourage others to make a positive difference to people living with dementia in their community.
They'll cover five key messages about dementia and touch on what it is like to live with dementia. As a Dementia Friend, you can turn your understanding into a practical action that will help someone with dementia living in your community.
The action can be as big or small as you choose because every action counts!
Please understand, you don’t need to be a dementia expert, have prior knowledge, or know someone living with dementia to become a Dementia Friend. Anyone can become one!
